The export value increased from 888 million US dollars to 7.326 billion US dollars, and the annual growth rate was 69.5%. The main characteristics of the import and export of liquid crystal display panels in mainland China in 2007 were: Import and export showed a huge deficit. In 2003, the deficit in imports and exports was US$3.536 billion. By 2007, it would have increased to US$103.62 billion, an average annual increase of US$1.7 billion, and it is expected to increase to US$15.445 billion in 2008.
The major reasons for the recent rapid growth in the export of LCD panels in mainland China are: the support of national policies has driven the development of the LCD industry. Coupled with China’s labor advantages, foreign companies have invested more in the liquid crystal industry and strong international market demand.
From January to May of this year, the export of LCD panels in mainland China increased by 10.6% year-on-year; cumulative export amount increased by 53.6% year-on-year; cumulative imports of liquid crystal display panels increased by 6.4% year-on-year; import amount increased by 52.7% over the same period.
It is estimated that the cumulative export of LCD panels in mainland China will reach 1.336 billion in 2008, an increase of 10% year-on-year. %; Accumulated export amounted to US$11.033 billion, up 50.6% year-on-year; cumulative imports of liquid crystal display panels will reach 997 million, an increase of approximately 6.0% from the same period of last year; import amount will reach US$26.478 billion, an increase of 49.7% over the same period of last year. .
